A few VERY important things i learnt at work and by my surroundings:
- Make a decision to do your own thinking and have control over your attitude. That means deciding to conquer the negativity that is going on around you. Think of what you can do today and how you will react that will make a difference to your life instead of allowing people and situation to dictate.
- Associate or mix around with people who can provide something of value. Avoid those who sap your energy and motivation. If you can't avoid them, or don't want to, learn how not to let them get you down.
- Start saying positive things especially about yourself. How you communicate to yourself affects your thinking and your emotions, as well as your self-esteem.
- Try new things. Experiencing a wide variety of life in a positive light will do wonders.
- Read more. Read about how those people who fought fear with courage and succeeded in life. Through reading, you will gain new knowledge and understanding and it will help you clear whatever is blocking your thinking and create more ideas.
- Change your mental pictures. What and how you see yourself and your surroundings make a difference to your thinking. You are visualizing or imagining something at every waking hour. Start to change your old internal disempowering pictures with images of something that you wish to experience.
- You can't please everybody. Much criticism is caused by people who are discontented with themselves, not you. Comparing yourself to others is rarely accurate in your personal life (obviously: they are themselves - you are you!). In the first place, no one knows what other people are going through. More importantly, when you compare yourself to other people, you often see yourself on the "short end". See how this is not helpful to you or your goals.
- Develope a strong relationship with your family. That includes trust. If you want a stronger relationship with your family, you're going to need to be honest with them. Tell your family about your life and don't insult them - it hurts them just as much as it hurts you to be insulted.
My father usually tells us, 'you can change your neighbours, but not your family. live with it...'. and if one ha to 'live with it', then why take it as a burden?? enjoy every bit of it
!
- Start questioning yourself on your behavior and attitude. Ask yourself why you are resisting or producing the habits or attitudes that you dislike. Stop each time you catch yourself in a circumstance that bring about negativity and doubts.

I too think a person with a positive mind and thinking can do more as compare to the person having a conservative thinking or negative approach…

definitely, a person can do wonders only if your mind is free from any tension, and if one starts taking every thing from a totally different perspective- a much more mature approach.
i recently read a book by promod bhatra, and i MUST say that my approach to a lot of things has groomed
